The DIMOTIV Chain Guard Cover is created to protect the chain from any road debris, dirt or mud picked up by the rear tires. In the event of the chain snapping, the cover prevents it from "whipping" and assuming that the chain does not stuck at the countershaft sprocket, the cover will guide the chain safely away from the bike. The chain guard cover also keeps your legs away from the chain.
